DPCNA hosted a webinar focused on nutrition and management of UK-native breeds. We welcome the expertise of Nikki Meggison, BSc (Hons) in Equine Science. Nikki is a member of the Royal Agricultural University and the Nutrition Society. As a lifelong horse enthusiast and UK-based independent nutritionist, Nikki brings considerable knowledge and first-hand experience for management practices of feeding and keeping UK-native breeds. Jill Graham is a Dales Pony Society Life Vice President and was a DPS Council member for over 30 years before taking over some of the Society general admin work on a temporary basis to help with the transition to a new Secretary. She has bred Dales ponies under the Kebroyd prefix with husband Ian - until very recently the DPS Treasurer - for many years, successfully showing in hand and under saddle at the top level. She also breeds and exhibits Exmoor ponies and is a panel judge for both breeds.
Anna Pennell is a DPS Panel judge, DPS Council member and breeder of Dales ponies under the family prefix of Nipna. Having competed Dales ponies at top levels under saddle herself, her and her family are now the proud title owners of HOYS Ridden Dales pony breeder for the last 5 years. They focus on breeding high quality, true to type dales ponies with the temperament to turn their hooves to all disciplines.
